This is a NEW, unused Craftsman 230 Tool Case. Whether you need to replace your old case or need one to keep your tool collection together, portable, and easy to reach, this case works great.
This case’s current exterior measures
19″ wide by 14″ tall by 4 1/2″ deep which seems to be the standard for most Craftsman Tool Kit Cases.  Please note pictures and case may vary slightly inside due to different Craftsman manufacturers and how Craftsman designs the interior “blow mold”, but cases will handle approximately 180 to 240 or more tools depending on the size of the tools. All have double or quad hasp closures, metal pinned hinges and could be locked with a small cable device.
One extra latches comes with the tool case if you ever need to replace one.

Case Modifications for Older Wide Handle Ratchets
:
This 230 case is the newest style and the Ratchet Wrench slots are designed for Slim handle ratchet wrenches. We tested the older model large handle Ratchet Wrenches 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 drives. The 1/4 and 3/8 Ratchet Wrenches fit with no modification. Where the 1/2 Ratchet Wrench fits, the bottom end is slightly tight in a 1″ area. We heated this area with a hair dryer then pushed the end of the Ratchet into the 1″ slot. The low heat allows this area to expand and mold to reshape holding the 1/2 Ratchet Wrench very well.
