DO YOU WANT TO MEMORIZE MORE SCRIPTURE FROM GOD’S WORD?
PERHAPS WE CAN HELP!
Most Christians know that memorizing Scripture from God’s Word plants it deep in our heart. In fact, Colossians 3:16 admonishes us to
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.”
While believers know this is true, many of us feel (1) we lack the time or (2) we lack the ability to dedicate ourselves to do this. I’ve found a simple way to incorporate Scripture memorization into my day that you may find also works for you.
Most of us do repetitive tasks regularly that requires little thought. Examples include doing routine household chores, exercising, mowing the lawn, etc. The list goes on and on… I use this time to memorize verses of God’s word that I wish to commit to memory.  Here’s what has helped me and you may find it helps you as well.
I create a simple audio file by using my computer’s audio recorder and “text to speech” application that reads out loud text the Scripture verses that I’ve copied into of the app
. After the “text to speech” app finishes reading the Scripture, I allow my recorder to include an additional 30-40 seconds of silence so that I can attempt to repeat what I’ve just listened to. I then save the audio that I’ve recorded as a digital file. To finish, I duplicate the audio file multiple times so that it doesn’t stop after it has been played the first time but continues to repeat again and again

I listen to my audio files using my computer that occupies the room where I exercise. If I decided I wanted to listen where no computer was available, I would simply copy the audio file to my mobile phone or to a USB flash drive that could be played and I can play on a small portable battery-powered flash drive player device (see photo). I can even play my flash drive in my car because my entertainment system includes a USB port (see photo) where audio flash drives can be played.
I’ve included audio from the 12th chapter of Romans so that you can hear what one of my audio files sounds
like. It’s listed above just below the first photo which eBay is displaying.
If you have computer skills, you may be able to use this idea without any assistance from me. But if you would like some help, I would be honored to create up to four 10-minute audio files, each with Scriptures from the version of the Bible you choose and place them all onto a single flash drive. The flash drive can be played using a Windows or Mac computer or copied to your mobile phone by using your computer to complete this task.
